Back In the Swim

Iconic supermodel Stephanie Seymour shows of the trademark curves which caused such a splash back in the late eighties and nineties. Photographed by Sebastian Faena for V Magazine's sport issue 76, Seymour looks nothing short of resplendent in the the latest scuba chic inspired swimwear. Editor-in-chief Stephan Gan recalls how the idea for the Seymour shoot came to fruition, when stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele returned to V's offices following a holiday in St Barts and rhapsodised over having run into Seymour frolicking on the beach and how amazing she looked.

Seymour remains to this day one of my personal all time favourite models. As one of the first models of her generation to parlay commercial appeal and viability into high fashion cred, Seymour raked in the mega-bucks posing for Victoria's Secret lingerie catalogues and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue whilst  appearing in tandem on the covers and in fashion editorials for American Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and W Magazine. Seymour's posing ability, dedication to her craft and endearing personality are unparalleled and the stuff made of legends.
