Lasting Impressions

As a rule, the casting process in which a model visits a prospective client, generally lasts no more than a few minutes. During that time, the model must introduce herself, answer any questions posed by the client, demonstrate her walk, pose for polaroid shots, and most importantly charm the prospective client with her personality. I am a big believer in the merits of casting polaroids because the true test of a model's beauty is if she looks incredible in her natural state with minimal make-up and styling.

PRODn at Art + Commerce is a boutique production agency based in New York and Paris which specialises in location scouting, casting and coordination of behind the scenes production services for advertising and editorial clients including Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Carolina Herrera, Prada, American Vogue, Love Magazine, Numéro and Vogue Italia. It goes without saying then that there is a lot at stake when a model presents herself for a casting at PRODn at Art + Commerce. The following pristine polaroid shots taken by the PRODn at Art + Commerce team of the Fall/Winter 2012 season's stand out faces, illustrate precisely how to make a favourable lasting impression.
