Cursed Beauty

Eighteen year old Danish model Josephine Skriver has managed to overcome a hurdle that confronts many a pretty face in the modelling industry, that is the curse of being deemed "too beautiful". At castings in the lead up to her debut at the Fall/Winter 2011 shows, casting agents criticised the lanky newcomer for her seemingly flawless beauty. Skriver however proved those critics wrong by impressing designers with her engaging personality, presence and impeccable sense of style, ticking all the right boxes with appearances at Calvin Klein, Rag & Bone, Prada, Alberta Ferretti, Chanel, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy. Skriver has since emerged as one of the key editorial faces of the next generation of models with appearances in the American, Italian, German and Russian editions of Vogue, Dansk, Love, Dazed & Confused and V Magazine. Skriver's latest editorial turn in the newly revamped Tush Magazine photographed by Markus Jans, illustrates why this sublime beauty is more than just another pretty face.
