Generation X

David Bellemere is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine amongst the up & coming generation of fashion photographers. The Parisian-based photographer contributes regularly to Treats! Magazine, Paris Vogue, Flaunt, Italian Marie Claire, Elle Russia and S Magazine amongst others. Bellemere's sensual, almost voyeuristic take on the female form is reminiscent of the photographic styles of Harri Peccinitti and Mario Sorrenti. Like Sorrenti and Peccinitti both of whom have shot for the Pirelli calendar, Bellemere employs the use of light and shade, and the textures of the natural landscape to imbue his images with a gorgeously sensual aspect. Many of Bellemere's photographs display voyeuristic tendencies where in the subject appears to be unaware that she is being observed. Bellemere's latest shoot for the July 2012 issue of British Harper's Bazaar features Samantha Gradoville and provides a brilliant canvas for the American model's considerable charms.
