Peeling Back the Layers

One of my favourite new faces Katerina Chang stars in an exclusive photo shoot for Fashion Gone Rogue lensed by talented up & coming photographer Mikael Wardhana. Represented by Chadwick Models in Sydney, twenty-one year old Chang was one of the highlights of the recent Rosemount Australian Fashion Week appearing at Kirrily Johnston, Aurelio Costarella and Phoenix Keating amongst others. The 177 cm tall Taiwanese beauty relocated to Australia four years ago to pursue marketing studies and has been wowing locals since with her runway perfect proportions, her chiselled angular cheekbones and her beguiling presence.

The editorial entitled "Hymn to the Immortal Wind", showcases the designs of Natalia Gryzbowski's Hybrid collection in a series of studio and on location shots set amidst a tranquil landscape of jagged cliff faces. Sydney-based photographer Wardhana marries the enquiring beauty of Chang with the natural elements of the surrounds to create pure harmony. On his personal website Wardhana sets the tone, "For me great fashion photography is one that is soulful and has intangible layers within it. I want to produce work that people can peel, feel and get lost in. It needs to be visual poetry."
