Who's that Girl?

The November 2012 edition of American Vogue surprises with an only-girl editorial starring Sports Illustrated pin-up beauty Kate Upton. Upton has had quite an eventful 2012, beginning with her controversial "barely there bathing suit" appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue. It is Upton's high fashion forays which appear to be garnering her greater attention though with multiple American Vogue appearances in 2012 alone, lensed by Sebastian Kim, Norman Jean Roy and most recently, Steven Meisel. The fashion industry has embraced Upton's relatable beauty and gorgeous curves with cover appearances for CR Fashion Book and Muse Magazine, and editorial exposure in Contributor Magazine, American Harpers Bazaar, Spanish Vogue, and V. Upton may not have the ideal runway silhouette however when stripped of the brassy make-up and cleavage popping antics, she exhibits a raw natural beauty and a healthy, curvaceous physique which women can identify with and which men find irresistible. And besides, Upton is clearly comfortable in her own skin and manages to keep things in check while revealing to American Vogue "I don't want to starve myself, I still want to hang out with my family and be a normal girl."
