On the Rocks

Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede is the rarest breed of model whose blue chip appeal seems to increase with each passing year. An industry veteran at age thirty-five, Kebede dips in an out of modelling with lucrative bookings for American Vogue, French Numéro, Vogue Italia, V Magazine, the Pirelli calendar, and cameo runway appearances for the likes of Balenciaga and Tom Ford. Kebede's emits an aura of refinement, grace, and intellectual beauty which commands the admiration of women and has men swooning for all the right reasons. Kebede's latest editorial appearance in the March 2013 issue of American Harper's Bazzar is no exception, with photographer Nathaniel Goldberg capturing the multi-dimensional model/actress/designer/activist in black and white ensembles styled by Alastair McKimm. Set amidst a magnificent landscape of rocky cliff outcrops and glistening black sand, Kebede's natural beauty is as incandescent as ever.
