Forever Young

Teen Vogue taps into the youthful exuberance of American newcomer Wylie Hays in an editorial featuring the season's gnarliest looks inspired by California's surf and skate culture. Photographer Boo George hones in on the gorgeous freckled beauty of seventeen year old Hays as she hangs out beachside in assorted denim pieces, tie dyed t-shirts, and the odd Peter Pilotto jacket thrown in for good measure. Teen Vogue has an impeccable track record of forecasting some of modelling's biggest names including Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Constance Jablonski, Sigrid Agren, and Chanel Iman in their first major editorial shoots. Hays is no exception to the rule, having debuted at the Spring/Summer 2013 collections as an exclusive at Alexander Wang and with a key opening slot at Proenza Schouler. Hays sat out the recent Fall/Winter 2013 collections leaving designers and casting directors waiting with abated breath for her imminent return to the runways at the Spring/Summer 2014 shows come September. In the meantime, Hays keeps the momentum going with a wonderful display of modelling apropos in this nostalgia tinged editorial.
