Prime Time of Your Life

American Vogue embraces popular music culture with the über cool pairing of supermodel Karlie Kloss and the French electro-house music act Daft Punk for an editorial in its August 2013 issue. Photographer Craig McDean braves the bustling streets of New York City with Kloss and the dapper looking helmeted musical duo. Musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Hohem-Christo slip right into character with glistening robotic-like headwear and Saint Laurent suits by Hedi Slimane. Not one to ever be overshadowed, Kloss gets her groove on thanks to an electrifying crimped shoulder length bob and elaborate party looks worthy of a night out on the town. Fashion editor Tabitha Simmons' selection of shimmering frocks from the Fall/Winter 2013 collections of Alexander McQueen, Chloé, Gucci, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, and Marc Jacobs amongst others are sure to bring out the party animal in even the most reserved American Vogue reader. With the "Get Lucky", Daft Punk and Pharell William's recent collaborative effort being hailed as the song of the Summer party season, American Vogue clearly has its finger firmly on the pulse of what sets minds and hearts racing.
