Standing Ovation - Jourdan Dunn

British top model Jourdan Dunn hits the ground running on the promenades of Miami's South Beach with a stunning editorial for Allure's July 2013 issue. Dunn is captured by photographer Alexi Lubomirski for the editorial entitled "The Happiness Jean." Dunn, who recently relocated to New York to further her modelling career, looks positively radiant in form-fitting denim ensembles which showcase her magnificent physique. Since being discovered in 2006 by a Storm model agent while shopping with a friend in Primark, Dunn has carved out a reputation as one of the industry's most dynamic and versatile models. Dunn's career highlights include; walking in the Prada Fall/Winter 2008 show, making her the first black model to do so since Naomi Campbell's appearance in 1997, being named Model of the Year in 2008 by the British Fashion Council, posing for Steven Meisel for the covers of Vogue Italia and American Vogue, and strutting her stuff for Victoria's Secret's 2012 runway show. Speaking with the Guardian in 2008, Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Models makes the astute observation, "Not many British girls make a mark on the fashion world. When she went to Paris Fashion Week after the Prada show she got standing ovations from the big fashion houses. Jourdan's also rather wonderful - she's strong-minded and funny. She has us in stitches."
