Motors Running - Anna Ewers

Paris Fashion Week may be over but the fun and games are just about to begin for the latest crop of runway renegades as the Fall/Winter 2014 editorial and campaign season unfurls. Kicking off proceedings is the enigmatic German beauty Anna Ewers whose startling likeness to Claudia Schiffer has the fashion industry rippling with excitement at the hint of a return to the beauty aesthetic of the early 90s Supers. Twenty year old Ewers poses for photographer Mikael Jansson in a parking lot filled bumper-to-bumper with Mustang cars in metallic hues of neon red, green, and electric blue. With barely there bleached brows and hair styled in a simple centre part, Ewers' beauty outshines the metallic hotrods as she poses in Spring/Summer 2014 designs by Prada, Miu Miu, and Alexander Wang. The Freiburg native was fast-tracked to modelling's elite ranks from the second she set foot on the Spring/Summer 2014 runways opening for Alexander Wang. So enamoured with Ewers was the designer that he selected her to front his eponymously named label's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign shot by Steven Klein. Back-to-back Prada Spring/Summer 2014 and Resort 2014 campaigns in addition to a ubiquitous editorial presence via the pages of W, i-D, Love, CR Fashion Book, and the British, French, American, and Italian editions of Vogue, unanimously declare Ewers as a bonafide Super in the making.
