French Connection - Ophélie Guillermand

After having spent a week in New York for Resort 2015, IMA was bowled over by the endless number of French beauties who appear to have overtaken Manhattan. Amongst the brigade of Frenchies dominating the modelling landscape is Women Model Management's Ophélie Guillermand who appears this month in an only-girl editorial lensed by Sebastian Kim for Vogue Germany. Guillermand cuts a striking figure in "Body Art" while modelling graphic prints styled by Katie Mossman from the Fall/Winter 2014 collections of Balenciaga, Valentino, Proenza Schouler, Marni, Prada, and Peter Pilotto. IMA first met Guillermand at castings for the Spring/Summer 2014 collections where she amassed a stunning 40 show tally during her debut season. The twenty year old Verdun native has since parlayed that initial runway momentum into a steady stream of blue chip editorial appearances for W, Intermission, Another Magazine, and the British, American, and Italian editions of Vogue. Championed by model-maker Steven Meisel, who lensed her for Prada's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign and Vogue Italia's December 2013 cover, Guillermand's memorable exotic beauty, distinctive brows, and killer 178 cm runway perfect proportions ensure that she remains omnipresent in the minds of casting directors, designers, and the powers that be.
