Top 10 Newcomers S/S 2015 - Sora Choi

South Korean model Sora Choi made the leap from former Korea's Next Top Model alumni to bonafide runway star courtesy of a killer Spring/Summer 2015 show season. IMA was first alerted to Sora's high fashion potential when she appeared like a bolt out of the blue at Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2015 show in May 2014. Already an established model in her native Korea having modelled for local editions of Vogue and W, Sora's international appeal was recognised by Evidence Models in Paris and Muse Model Management in New York. Fast-forward to the Spring/Summer 2015 collections and Sora has quickly emerged asone of the the most coveted newcomers on New York runways appearing at Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, 3.1 Philip Lim, and Anna Sui. With a clear less is more strategy, Sora skipped London Fashion Week heading straight to Milan to play with the big guns at Versace, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, and Bottega Veneta. The twenty-two year old Seoul native was conspicuous by her absence during most of the Paris collections and for good reason with casting director Ashley Brokaw nabbing Sora as a Louis Vuitton exclusive on the final day of Paris Fashion Week. With the sleek lines of her 178 cm frame, exquisite almond shaped eyes, and an irresistible smattering of freckles across her angular cheekbones, Sora will no doubt be ubiquitous in the editorial and campaign season ahead.
