Top 10 Newcomers S/S 2015 - Tami Williams

IMA has had Jamaican newcomer Tami Williams firmly on its radar since she emerged on the scene during the Fall/Winter 2014 season debuting at Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, and Edun. With her long attenuated limbs and gazelle-like neck, Williams possesses the kind of grace, elegance, and poise that has been missing from fashion's runways since the days of supermodel Shalom Harlow. Williams' mother agent and founder of Saint International Deiwght Peters has painstakingly nurtured and guided his latest protégé introducing her to a formidable network of powerhouse agencies including Elite Models NYC, Why Not Models, Storm Models, and Elite Model Management Paris. It was therefore unsurprising to witness the statuesque 180 cm ingenue galvanising industry attention with her twenty-six runway bookings throughout the Spring/Summer 2015 collections. Williams' star quality was evident as she morphed from one runway incarnation to another at Calvin Klein, 3.1 Philip Lim, Erdem, Giles, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Dsquared2, Balmain, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten, Kenzo, Vionnet, and Hermès. With her perfectly symmetrical features, flawless caramel skin tone, and compelling mix of vulnerability and strength, Williams is the everything that casting directors will be on the alert for as the editorial and campaign season unfolds.
