Body of Work - Chiharu Okunugi

Japanese top model Chiharu Okunugi places her body at full stretch for photographer Hans Feurer in an editorial for French Numéro's April 2015 issue. 'Body Conscious' showcases another side to the elegant beauty's modelling repertoire as she poses poolside in athletic and swimsuit attire styled by Spela Lenarcic. Feurer hones his lens on Okunugi's svelte 177 cm silhouette as contorts her body while stretching, frolicking, and lounging at an outdoor pool. The twenty-two year old New York Model Management-repped ingenue has been one of IMA's favourite faces since her captivating debut as an exclusive for Prada at the Spring/Summer 2013 collections. The Tokyo native has since walked for virtually every blue chip fashion house and has appeared in editorials for a diverse array of publications including W, CR Fashion Book, Dansk, Crash, Pop, i-D, Love, and the Japanese, Chinese and Italian editions of Vogue. Okunugi's classic beauty and commercial appeal has landed her front centre in campaigns for Stella McCartney, Chanel, Céline, Schiatzy Chen, and Uniqlo. With her ongoing high fashion relevance, versatility, and natural charisma, IMA predict a major cosmetics contract or a stint on Victoria's Secret's Fashion Show on the horizon in 2015.

Honourable Mentions F/W 2015 - Elizabeth Davison

Ford Model Management's Elizabeth Davison was one of the most memorable newcomers to surface at the Fall/Winter 2015 collections. The petite 174 cm Canadian debuted at Alexander Wang wowing showgoers with her otherworldly beauty, glacial stare, and ethnic ambiguity. Hailing from Vancouver with mixed Irish, Scottish, and English ancestry, the fifteen year old LizBell Agency prodigy made an impressive Fashion Week debut with select appearances at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alberta Ferretti, Salvatore Ferragamo, Giambattista Valli, Marco de Vincenzo, Giamba, and Gabriele Colangelo. Davison's Alexander Wang exclusive booking galvanised industry attention as she stomped down the runway with her haunting grey blue eyes peering out from under her immaculately dishevelled brunette mane. Currently home schooled and based in Manhattan, Davison's camp of ardent supporters include her mom as well as her model sibling Tyg with whom she appears alongside in the Eliza Faulkner Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook. Davison's concise Fall/Winter 2015 show list reflects a quality over quantity approach which will IMA predicts will place her in contention for a major campaign moment in the months to follow.

Honourable Mentions F/W 2015 - Frida Munting

Every now and then a drop dead gorgeous beauty can be just the perfect antidote to the sea of homogeneity prevalent on fashion's runways. This season the appearance of Oui Management's Frida Munting at Coach, Boss, Rag & Bone, Yigal Azrouel, Topshop Unique, Antonio Marras, Just Cavalli, and Chloé had IMA transfixed. The twenty-two year old British-born beauty with Caribbean heritage was initially scouted at age sixteen by an agent at Select Model Management while travelling on the metro. Initially singled out by British Vogue in 2010 as a 'model to watch', Munting's modelling career has been quietly on the boil with appearances in Benetton and Topshop campaigns and editorial gigs for British Vogue, Arise, Lurve, Schon, and Tank. With her flawless caramel complexion, puppy dog brown eyes, and raw unadulterated beauty, Munting is a major money spinner waiting to happen for beauty and commercial clients in the ilk of Victoria's Secret, H&M, Maybelline, and Cover Girl. With her mass market appeal, classic beauty, and perfect runway ready proportions, IMA hopes to see Munting displaying more high fashion moxie on the runways with the greatest industry relevance.

Honourable Mentions F/W 2015 - Isabella Emmack

IMA loves a tease and that's exactly what sixteen year old Kansas City native Isabella Emmack delivered with a string of select Fall/Winter 2015 runway appearances. Emmack's concise show list included riveting appearances at Alexander Wang where her tomboyish androgyny was in full effect before doing a complete 360 at Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang displaying a jaw-dropping elegance and sophistication well beyond her years. The DNA Model Management repped beauty underwent a massive metamorphosis in November last year when hairstylist Guido Palau lopped off her shoulder length tresses leaving her with a career changing cropped cut. Emmack's dramatic transformation and her ability to embrace all of its wondrous possibilities paid dividends at the Fall/Winter collections with semi-exclusive bookings at Alexander Wang and Balenciaga, in addition to runway mileage logged at Fendi, The Row, Saint Laurent, Trussardi, MSGM, and Iceberg. IMA is completely enamoured by Emmack's powerful square jawline, hazel eyes, and her chameleon-like propensity which ensures the on-going interest of fashion denizens and greater long-term modelling prospects in seasons to come.

Honourable Mentions F/W 2015 - Avery Blanchard

Sixteen year old North Carolina Avery Blanchard has come a long way from her beauty pageant high school competing days since signing with modelling powerhouse IMG Model Management. At the Fall/Winter 2015 collections, Blanchard ditched her All-American Miss Junior Highschool 2012 tiara undergoing a major image overhaul and cementing her place as one of the most promising newcomers of the season. The blonde blue-eyed runway rookie with doll-like features held IMA's attention at Victoria Beckham and Hugo Boss in New York and again at Burberry Prorsum and J.W. Anderson in London. Interest in the 177 cm versatile beauty reached fever pitch in Milan and Paris with star turns on the runway for Prada, Fendi, Jil Sander, Miu Miu, Chloé, Valentino, Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, and Chanel. Blanchard's blank canvas beauty and youthful vigour charmed casting directors and designers alike with a clean sweep of the European runway circuit. IMA predicts a slow burn for Blanchard given her young age and the pressing high school commitments which will take precedence in the immediate months following the Fall/Winter 2015 collections.

Honourable Mentions F/W 2015 - Yuan Bo Chao

The stunning array of new modelling talent that rose to prominence throughout the Fall/Winter 2015 collections warrants a few honourable mentions beyond the confines of IMA's Top 10 Newcomers for the season. Seventeen year old Yuan Bo Chao from China made an indelible impression with her petulant pout, razor sharp features, and smouldering sensuality. Yuan has emerged as one of China's most in demand print models since winning the title of the Long Teng Supermodel contest in 2013. The 178 cm coltish beauty quickly conquered the local market with editorial bookings for Chinese editions of Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Numéro, Elle, and Femina. Signing with Next Model Management in early 2015, Yuan's ascension to modelling's elite ranks continued with an incredible thirty four show tally during her first full show season including key appearances at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, DKNY, Vera Wang, Fendi, Christian Dior, Valentino, Kenzo, and Giambattista Valli. With her powerful runway strut, look of unflinching conviction and memorable beauty, Yuan is primed for key consideration amongst casting directors and designers in the months ahead.
