Top 10 Newcomers F/W 2015 - Tiana Tolstoi

Newcomer Tiana Tolstoi possesses a one-of-a-kind beauty that is impossible to pigeonhole. Tolstoi's exotic far flung looks courtesy of her Korean/Serbian roots were in full force as she graced the runway for a diverse array big name designers in New York, Milan, and Paris. Standing at an imposing 180 cm with angular cheekbones, sphinx like eyes, and a defiant pout, Tolstoi galvanised industry attention debuting as a semi-exclusive for Alexander Wang before tripping the light fantastic at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, and Kenzo. Tolstoi's 'overnight' success at the Fall/Winter 2015 collections has been a long time coming for the twenty year old French native who initially stirred industry interest when she debuted at the Spring/Summer 2014 collections walking for Balenciaga. Focusing on completing her higher school education, Tolstoi floated under the radar while maintaining a steady editorial presence appearing in publications including Vogue Italia, Elle Vietnam, L'Officiel Russia, and Vogue China. Tolstoi's recent runaway success owes much to the careful guidance, strategic planning, and patience of her mother agency New Madison in Paris. With high fashion designers cottoning onto the importance of global markets and commercial accessibility, Tolstoi's timely reemergence at the Fall/Winter 2015 collections could not have been more prescient.
