Top Ten Newcomers S/S 16 - Olivia Jansing

American beauty Olivia Jansing was the surprise package of the Spring/Summer 2016 season wowing designers, casting directors, and showgoers with her handsome stoic beauty, powerful athletic physique, and beguiling runway presence. The Next Model Management-repped newcomer appeared like a bolt out of the blue debuting at BCBG Max Azria before eclipsing the field with 39 show bookings. Jansing's 178 cm silhouette was ubiquitous in all four fashion capitals on the most prestigious runways including Calvin Klein Collection, Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Burberry Prorsum, Christopher Kane, Fendi, Versace, Marni, Chloé, Balenciaga, and Valentino. Jansing who hails from New York City was one of the standout faces of the season with her chiselled square jawline, light sprinkling of freckles and her nearing runway stare. IMA is enamoured by Jansing's all-American beauty with a twist which is reminiscent of early nineties supermodel Bridget Hall. Top Ten Newcomers S/S 16 - Essie Glassman

Landing a spot in IMA's Top Ten Newcomers list is all about making an indelible impression which lasts beyond the final turn on the runway. For Elite Model Amsterdam newcomer Essie Glassman the Spring/Summer 2016 season was a masterful exercise in the power of a quality over quantity game plan. The nineteen year old flaxen blond with pale alabaster skin debuted as a Calvin Klein exclusive drawing collective gasps of excitement from showgoers due to her uncanny likeness to iconic top model Gemma Ward. Glassman's 179 cm elegant frame stood out from the masses throughout her  selective appearances at Burberry Prorsum, Antonion Berardi, Giamba, Phillip Plein, Antonio Marras, Krizia, Moncler Gamme Rouge, and, Alexander McQueen. Scouted at the age of fourteen, Glassman has been modelled intermittently while completing her school studies and following a year of intensive development by Elite Models Amsterdam was unleashed at the Spring/Summer 2016 collections. With her wide-set baby blues, golden flowing hair and elusive star quality, Glassman has left designers, casting directors, and model aficionados hankering for more.

Top Ten Newcomers S/S 16 - Jamilla Hoogenboom

IMA favourite Jamilla Hoogenboom continued the Dutch take-over of Spring/Summer 2016 runways debuting at New York Fashion Week as second girl out at Alexander Wang. Hoogenboom backed up that auspicious debut, opening for Prabal Gurung followed by turns on the runway at Vera Wang, Public School, Gabriela Cadena, Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2, Missoni, Rick Owens, Balenciaga, Kenzo, Acne Studios, Veronique Branquinho, and Esteban Cortazar. Blessed with a svelte 180 cm frame, coltish limbs, expressive grey-blue eyes, and the kind of bone structure not seen since Christy Turlington, Hoogenboom possesses the kind of physical attributes agents dream of.
