Top Ten Newcomers S/S 16 - Jamilla Hoogenboom

IMA favourite Jamilla Hoogenboom continued the Dutch take-over of Spring/Summer 2016 runways debuting at New York Fashion Week as second girl out at Alexander Wang. Hoogenboom backed up that auspicious debut, opening for Prabal Gurung followed by turns on the runway at Vera Wang, Public School, Gabriela Cadena, Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2, Missoni, Rick Owens, Balenciaga, Kenzo, Acne Studios, Veronique Branquinho, and Esteban Cortazar. Blessed with a svelte 180 cm frame, coltish limbs, expressive grey-blue eyes, and the kind of bone structure not seen since Christy Turlington, Hoogenboom possesses the kind of physical attributes agents dream of. Hoogenboom has been firmly in IMA's sights, having cast the nineteen year old Micha Model Management protégé in editorials for Crash Magazine and Mixt(e) shot respectively by Benjamin Vnuk and Léa Nielsen. With a blue chip Fall/Winter 2015 campaign slot for Alexander McQueen and additional editorial bookings for Vogue Italia lensed by Mert & Marcus, Antidote, Dansk, and Another Magazine, Jamilla has indeed arrived.
