Slow Burn - Rianne van Rompaey

The Dutch insurgence gains momentum with Rianne van Rompaey's scintillating editorial turn for Interview Magazine under the legendary lens of Patrick Demarchelier. Modelling lace, silk, and satin slip dresses styled by Karl Templer, van Rompaey is a magnetic presence as she poses with every fibre of her being for the black & white studio portraits. The flame haired twenty year old has been kept under a slow burn since her Fall/Winter 2014 runway debut at Louis Vuitton. Paparazzi Models and Viva Model Management have adopted a super exclusive booking approach with van Rompaey making select runway appearances for Prada, Miu Miu, and Louis Vuitton while appearing in only the most blue chip of publications including Vogue Italia, Document Journal, Rika, Re-Edition, Holiday Magazine, Paris Vogue, Another Magazine, and British Vogue. With interest in the green eyed freckled beauty reaching fever pitch, van Rompaey was finally unleashed on American runways at the Spring/Summer 2016 collections emerging at Jason Wu, Calvin Klein, Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Altuzarra, Coach, Narciso Rodriguez, and Victoria Beckham. van Rompaey's blue chip elusive quality was once more in full effect in Milan and Paris with a select appearances at Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Versace, Bottega Veneta, and Louis Vuitton leaving showgoers and model aficionados wanting.

Shore Thing - Maartje Verhoef

Vogue China kicks off the new year with the fresh-faced knock out beauty of model of the moment Maartje Verhoef in an editorial lensed by Sharif Hamza. The eighteen year old Dutchie is captivating as she poses for Hamza on a rocky shoreline wearing black and white ensembles selected by Tiina Laakkonen. Simplicity is the key with Verhoef's pristine beauty highlighted with slicked back hair and minimal make-up against a hazy ocean backdrop. Verhoef, one of modelling's most in demand cat walkers, has emerged in recent months as an editorial tour de force with stunning appearances in Intermission, German Vogue, i-D, French Numero, Vogue Italia, and American Vogue. Verhoef's evolution since her promising runway debut at Prada's Spring/Summer 2013 show is a testament to the careful development and placement of the lithe blonde by her mother agency Micha Models in Amsterdam. With a recent staggering show tally of 57 bookings at the Spring/Summer 2016 collections, Verhoef heads into the new year as the model on every casting director's most wanted list.

New Beginnings - Gemma Ward

Vogue Australia kicks off the new year with a magnificent cover and editorial featuring comeback kid and icon in the making Gemma Ward. Photographer Lachlan Bailey captures the ethereal beauty of twenty-eight year old Ward for the cover story decked out in Givenchy couture styled by fashion director Christine Centenera. Scouted in 2002 at age fourteen, Ward was one of the most celebrated models of the turn of the new millennium appearing on the covers of the British, French, Italian, and American editions of Vogue and in lucrative ad campaigns for Calvin Klein Obsession, Valentino, Burberry Prorsum, Prada, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent and Hermés. At the height of her fame, Ward took an extended four and a half year hiatus from modelling only to return triumphantly to the runway opening for Prada's Spring/Summer 2015 show. Recent editorial bookings for V Magazine, Pop, and Russh in addition to campaign slots for Givenchy and Prada indicate that Ward is here to stay. Ward continues her dream run for Australian Vogue's January 2016 issue shot by Bailey on location in Phoenecia, New York wearing relaxed resort wear perfect for the outdoor setting.
